Even though we love our watermelon here in the summertime we always end up with a little extra watermelon and this is a perfect way to to use it up and make a tasty and pretty treat. Plus, it’s so easy. Even though it’s made up of mostly water most people don’t realize that there are actually some great things in watermelon like:

Shelf Styling Tips
These tips can be used in almost every styling situation. I like to use the three points that ground, whether it’s on a shelf or a coffee table. In this example it’s an all white shelf with all white or clear items, the greenery used as the three points draws the eye down from the top and is visually pleasing. The books add some accent colors for depth and the way they are opposite of each other they balance out the three points. Make total sense right?

Store Your Knives Like A Chef
Tossing your knives into a kitchen drawer can cause them to dull or chip. If you have the counter space you could invest in a knife block. If you prefer them off your counter like I do, you can grab a magnetic knife strip to hang them from your wall near your cutting board or you can get a knife holder for your drawer to protect those blades that cost you more than you care to think about! All of my kitchen drawers are done in bamboo organizers so a natural wood option was for me. Organized AND pretty!
